As Vedic meditators correcting the mistakes of the intellect with the wisdom of the Veda is the gateway to meeting our true Self.

Advanced Knowledge: Exploring the Veda Course

The Veda is the ancient record of spiritual experience that is the source of the arts and sciences of Ayurvedic medicine, yoga, Indian philosophy, and our Vedic meditation technique. Knowledge of the Veda is said to confer mastery of all the laws of nature because the Veda is structured as universal knowledge available within everyone’s consciousness; it is the blueprint of creation.

Without any guidance, the ancient Vedic texts are indecipherable to most of us. As Vedic meditators, we have the good fortune to have access to an inspiring course ‘Exploring the Veda’ designed by my teacher, Thom Knoles. In a six-seminar* course of 73 hours recorded over a two-year period, Thom delves deeply into the Veda and draws out wisdom that is nothing short of life-changing.

Thom Knoles is recognized as one of the world’s foremost teachers of Veda’s true meaning and application.

(*) Each of the seminars can be enjoyed individually, with no obligation to complete all six. However, the course must be completed in sequential order as one instalment leads naturally into the next.

Completion of Exploring the Veda 1 to 6 is a prerequisite to becoming trained as an Initiator – a teacher of Vedic Meditation – with Thom Knoles.

Thom Knoles, Maharishi Vyasananda Saraswati

"Participation in this programme should be given your highest priority. Whatever events you think may be “too important” or “unchangeable” should be reassessed in favour of embarking on this training. The need of the time demands this; the fulfilment of the purpose of individual life awaits this."
– Thom Knoles, Maharishi Vyasananda Saraswati

Why should I take this course?

Through regular practice of Vedic meditation, you must have noticed how meditation is improving your life. By systematically experiencing the field of Being twice a day for twenty minutes, you feel more energy, greater clarity of mind, and better health. Since your first meditation session, you start integrating Being within the field of action which leads to a gradual increase of inner happiness and to less suffering.

As essential as our regular meditation practice, it is important to develop the correct intellectual understanding of the experiences we have inside and outside meditation. In fact, even though bliss increases in our lives, it can still be overshadowed by non-evolutionary patterns which we struggle to let go of. These patterns are underpinned by old ways of thinking that are not serving us anymore. The fastest way to correct these mistakes of the intellect is through exposure to Gyan, which is the true wisdom that comes from the Veda.

Along with our meditation practice, a corrected intellect is the gateway to meet our real Self that has infinite adaptability and the capacity to effortlessly find the signal in the noise. These qualities are very much needed in a fast-paced world of ever-increasing uncertainty and ever-growing data and information.
